I was in line at a coffee / sandwich shop with a friend of mine today. He asked, "Is the roast beef rare?" I interjected, "No, they have it here everyday."
O.K. So it may not have been brilliant, but the context and timing gave it a lot of juice.

Fri, December 12, 2003 - 11:10 AMATTENTION FELLOW TRIBE MEMBERS: Do not encourage this man! He is a menace to society and once he gets going on a pun run, WILL NOT STOP until you are forced to throw your drink on him or give him an Indian burn. Then, he'll try to make a pun ot of THAT, too!

Sun, December 21, 2003 - 12:17 AMOK, this is not exactly (?) a pun, but it was impromptu & people groaned which delighted me immensely. Heh heh heh
I was riding in a car with some folks, we passed a sign that said "Ski Area." I said, "Gee, there must be a bunch of Polish folks around here."
P.s. I'm of Polish descent, so it's ok for me to tell Polish jokes!! Besides, they're pretty much like blonde jokes.
I often have Polish moments, like forgetting to put water in the coffeemaker & ending up with a carafe of hot water. -

Just wondering. Don't want to exceed the bounds of decency and decorum. -

If I forget to put water in my coffee maker, I end up with shattered glass all over my counter and floor.
Do tell how water-water=a carafe of hot water...
