All of my favorite authors love puns....
Piers Anthony, Spider Robinson....and of course, the authors of those wonderful Ferdinand Feghoot stories.
Any other authors anyone can think of that sprinkle puns heavily through their writings?

Re: favorite authors
Sun, September 10, 2006 - 8:52 PMWhen I was 15 somebody handed me "The Phantom Tollbooth", saying it sounded like something I'd come up with. It was a little too easy reading for me, as it was written for kids, but it was right up my alley. Or, maybe, being a tollbooth, it was up my highway! I don't remember the author's name. -

Re: favorite authors
Sun, February 4, 2007 - 9:05 PMI believe that the author of that one is Norton Juster...and, I agree, it is quite a clever classic. Something, like many of Piers Anthony's masterpieces, that I see as required reading before leaving junior high!
Then again, you haven't experienced punny until you've read Giles Goat Boy by John Barth, and I believed I mentioned The Crying of Lot 49 by Pynchon, as well as Blues4Kali-
